SEN Learning Support Assistant - Oldham
Full-Time | Immediate Start | -95100 per day (PAYE)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Oldham to recruit a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time position, ideal for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants or graduates looking to begin a career in education.

The school has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is recognised for its inclusive approach and strong support for pupils with additional needs. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child receives the support they need to succeed.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language needs
• Work alongside the class teacher to adapt lessons and deliver accessible, engaging activities
• Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning through consistent encouragement and guidance
• Promote inclusion and contribute positively to the wider school environment

This role is well suited to candidates with SEN experience, as well as graduates seeking valuable classroom exposure before progressing into teaching or related fields.

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting (desirable)
• A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach

• Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
• Access to over 2,500 CPD courses through The National College
• Clear pathways for career progression, including potential teacher training

• Previous SEN experience (preferred)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
