Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday - Minimum 2 days a week in the office

Job Responsibilities
Assessment & Case Management

Act as the first point of contact for children, young people, and families requiring support

Complete timely, high-quality assessments to understand needs, risks, and strengths
-
Make informed decisions on appropriate interventions and support pathways
-
Ensure all work is child-focused and promotes the voice of the child
Safeguarding & Intervention
-
Respond to referrals promptly and effectively
-
Investigate safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action
-
Work collaboratively to ensure children are safe and supported to thrive
Partnership & Collaboration
-
Work closely with internal teams, partner agencies, and stakeholders
-
Build strong, trusting relationships with families to enable positive change
-
Contribute to multi-agency planning and decision-making
Professional Practice
-
Apply a restorative and relationship-based approach in all interactions

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
-
Participate in reflective supervision and continuous professional development
Person Specification
Must-Have:
-
Qualified Social Worker (Degree, DipSW, or CQSW)
-
Registered with Social Work England
-
Experience in children’s social work, particularly assessment and safeguarding
-
Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills
-
Ability to manage complex cases and make sound professional judgments
-
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners
Nice-to-Have:
-
Experience working within a UK Local Authority
-
Familiarity with restorative or relationship-based practice models
-
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and safeguarding frameworks
