HGV Class 1 Driver – Bulk Deliveries

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday – No weekend work, Days
Key Highlight: Early finish at approximately 13:00 on Fridays
You will be responsible for Class 1 bulk deliveries (not heavy multi-drop) across the UK our clients valued customer base. This is stable, structured work with consistent overtime opportunities rather than chaotic shift patterns – ideal for drivers seeking predictable routines and reliable earnings.
THE ROLE

• Perform bulk load deliveries professionally and safely
• Assist with vehicle loading and ensure loads are securely fastened
• Accurately complete all delivery documentation
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain full compliance with transport regulations
• Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, representing Archwood positively

YOU

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph card
• Proven reliability, excellent timekeeping, and strong work ethic
• Comfortable working independently while delivering great customer service
• Positive, flexible attitude – especially towards short-notice overtime
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers

Earnings & Benefits

• Basic Rate: £12.70 per hour (£24,519.38 per annum based on 37 hours)
• Overtime Rate: Time and a half – £19.05 per hour
• Overtime Availability: Average 13 hours per week
• Typical Earnings with Overtime: Approximately £37,441.74 per annum (realistic and achievable)
• Additional Allowances: £20 per night out (average 1–2 nights per week) + meal allowance
