A fantastic opportunity has arisen in a highly successful Global asset management company for a mid-level retail funds lawyer to join their legal team.Main tasks- Advising on Retail funds (including OEICs) as well as domestic and international fund authorisations- Assisting with the launch of a major international umbrella fund and its sub-funds.- Assisting with general regulatory advice in the EU (including AIFMD) and US.- Advising on ad hoc compliance matters- Advising the business on general asset management legal matters

Essential skills- Qualified lawyer with minimum 3PQE at a major law firm or asset management business.- Excellent academics- A team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels.- Business facing experience and the ability to understand and respond effectively to commercial needs.- A Commercial approach- Strong knowledge of retail funds especially Open Ended Investment Companies- Some technology experience and familiarity with web-based funds desirable though not essential- Prior in-house experience / in-house secondment experience also desirable though not essential- Ability to work autonomously when necessary
