We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Alternative Provision in Stockport. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with complex needs, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and behavioural difficulties.

The Role:

• Providing classroom-based support to pupils across a range of subjects.

• Delivering targeted 1:1 support to students who require additional assistance.

• Building positive relationships that encourage engagement, confidence, and personal development.

• Supporting pupils to manage their behaviour and emotions effectively.

• Working closely with teachers and other professionals to implement individual support strategies.

• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, SEMH, or behavioural challenges.

• A calm, patient, and resilient approach.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• The ability to remain positive and professional in challenging situations.

• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners to achieve their full potential.
