Bid Writer

An established yet growing contractor based in Glasgow is looking to appoint a Bid Writer to support their ongoing work-winning efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the construction industry – or a closely related sector – to join a forward-thinking business that values quality, consistency, and creative input.
As Bid Writer, you will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of high-quality, engaging submissions, helping the business secure new opportunities across a range of projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing pre-qualification questionnaires and tender submissions
- Writing compelling, creative, and technically accurate bid content
- Ensuring all documents meet brand and visual presentation standards
- Managing bid administration and supporting documentation
- Sourcing and identifying potential new business opportunities
- Producing engaging content for case studies, newsletters, the company website, and industry news articles
- Managing social media accounts and content, and monitoring campaign success
- Advising on best practice and future improvements in bid and content delivery
What we’re looking for:
You’ll be a self-motivated and organised individual who is confident working independently as well as part of a wider team. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a creative mindset are key. Ideally, you’ll also bring:
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
- Background in construction or a related field
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
