Job Description: Senior DesignerA Senior Designer at Tangerine will manage their time independently within the team. You will be responsible for leading design projects, providing creative direction to Designers and Junior Designers, and reporting to the Design Lead and Leadership Team. Your role is crucial in maintaining high standards of creative work within the ID team.The responsibilities of a Senior Product Designer at Tangerine include:Meeting with clients to establish design briefs, including concepts, performance, and production criteria.Developing ideas collaboratively or creating design concepts using CAD (Computer-Aided Design).Participating in specialist or multidisciplinary team meetings.Sketching initial design ideas.Assessing material suitability and availability.Producing detailed hand drawings and specifications, or using CAD software to generate design specifications, parts lists, and costings.Creating renderings and presentations.Making samples or working models manually or with prototyping equipment.Testing design concepts through computer modeling or physical testing.Researching materials, processes, or market requirements.Coordinating meetings and liaising with engineers, mock-up makers, marketing, and other departments to discuss production processes, costs, and commercial issues.Traveling to clients'' production facilities to evaluate production feasibility.Presenting designs to senior management or clients, especially during bidding or proposal phases.Software skills required include: SolidWorks, Blender, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, Mira.Desirable experience: Agency or in-house transportation design experience in aviation, rail, automotive, or mobility sectors.About TangerineTangerine is a strategic design consultancy with studios in London and Seoul, working with renowned brands such as Apple, British Airways, JAL, LG, CRRC, Heathrow Express, Volkswagen, and Toyota.
