Quality Inspector (CMM) – Tadley, Hampshire
£50,000 – £60,000 basic (Days) | 39 hours per week | Permanent
A highly regarded precision engineering manufacturer in Tadley, Hampshire is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector / CMM Inspector to support a busy machining environment producing high-tolerance components (aerospace-focused work and other high-spec sectors).
This is a hands-on inspection role ideal for someone who enjoys one-offs / low batch work, tight tolerances, and being part of a business that genuinely invests in people, equipment, and quality.

Flexible days: Monday–Thursday any time between 06:30 – 17:30

Friday early finish (with the option to work Friday as overtime)

Overtime available on Friday and Monday–Thursday (depending on workload)

Key Responsibilities
-
Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspection of precision machined components, working to ISO 9001 standards.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, applying GD&T where required

Use a wide range of measuring equipment: verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, DTI, height gauges, slip gauges, etc.

Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation

Raise and support resolution of non-conformances (NCRs) and follow internal quality procedures

Work closely with Production and Engineering to drive right-first-time quality and continuous improvement
Equipment / Systems
-
CMM inspection essential (programming is beneficial and supported/training available)

Profile projector with edge detector

Working to quality standards including ISO 9001
-
AS9100 exposure/experience highly desirable (aerospace standard)
Key Requirements
-
Proven experience as a Quality Inspector / CMM Inspector within precision engineering

Confident with manual inspection tools and tight-tolerance work
-
CMM programming experience advantageous (or a willingness to develop further with training)

Strong drawing interpretation and GD&T knowledge
-
Organised, accurate, and able to work independently in a days role
