Our client is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the evolution of their flagship cloud-based platform – a next-generation system supporting real-world evidence, clinical registries, and patient-centric research.This is a senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of engineering excellence, strategic delivery, and healthcare impact. You will lead and grow a cross-functional team of developers and product managers while advancing the technical foundation of a highly impactful digital health product used by global stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on leadership to a team of software engineers and product managers across global time zones.Improve delivery efficiency through coaching, hiring, mentoring, and implementation of Agile practices.Drive the design and execution of technical roadmaps, functional specifications, and delivery plans.Oversee robust software validation, testing, and deployment strategies to ensure platform stability and compliance.Manage delivery pipelines for both short-term milestones and long-term goals.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersRequired Skills and ExperienceStrong experience in data modelling, data transformation, and cloud-based architecture.Hands-on expertise with SQL and modern data management technologies.Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), issue tracking, version control, localisation, and test automation.Preferred ExperienceMinimum 5 years in a leadership role for a commercial digital product or service.5+ years working with cloud services, ideally across AWS and Azure.Practical experience with web application frameworks such as Angular.Exposure to clinical data environments or health informatics systems.Experience in both start up and corporate work environments.Understanding of compliance environments, such as HIPAA and GDPR.Why Join?Help shape the future of evidence generation in rare disease, oncology, and real-world research.Join a mission-led company with a strong reputation for scientific excellence and platform innovation.Lead strategic engineering initiatives at scale with full visibility from the C-suite down.Apply today or contact with Kerry Mc Daid @ KEMIO Consulting for a confidential discussion about this opportunity.Seniority level
