HR Advisor 12-Month FTC (Maternity Cover)£35,000 Site-Based Food Manufacturing Hull Let s be honest this isn t HR in a plush office with beanbags and breakfast bars.This is HR where it matters. On the factory floor. In real conversations. With real people.And right now, they need someone who knows what they re doing. The current HR Advisor is off on maternity leave, and they need someone solid to step in. You ll be part of a site employing around 500 people all of whom expect the HR team to keep things running smoothly. This isn t a box-ticking job. You ll be a key voice in a small but busy HR team. You ll be supporting managers, coaching where needed, and making sure everything from disciplinaries to audits runs as it should. What you ll actually be doing: Advising line managers on the day-to-day people stuffHandling disciplinaries, grievances, probation reviews and exit interviewsKeeping employee records tight contracts, inductions, payroll info, training logsSupporting audits (ethical, internal, customer the lot)Coordinating training and making sure the matrix isn t just a spreadsheet graveyard What you ll need: CIPD qualified or working towards itSolid experience in an HR role within manufacturing (food/FMCG is ideal)Comfortable handling a bit of everything admin, advice, and awkward conversationsThe confidence to work with managers at all levels and push back when neededA practical mindset and the ability to get stuck in from day one If this strikes a chord with you
