Job Description:

• Provide individualised support for pupils with SLD, ensuring engagement and progress
• Use multi-sensory approaches and assistive strategies to aid communication and learning
• Support social, emotional, and life skills development alongside academic goals
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver holistic care
• Promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates every achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties in a SEND setting
• Be patient, empathetic, and skilled in communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton)
• Understand complex needs, safeguarding protocols, and inclusive practices
• Be passionate about SEND education, student wellbeing, and making a lasting difference
