Senior Control Systems Consulting Engineer Overview: A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Control Systems Consulting Engineer to join their growing UK Power team. This role involves delivering technically challenging projects across power generation, energy conversion, and transmission/distribution control systems, with opportunities across the UK and internationally.Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and contribute to projects involving control systems for power generation, energy conversion, and transmission/distribution networks. Develop conceptual design studies, cost-benefit analyses, and technical specifications. Act as Owner s Engineer and provide technical advisory/due diligence support. Support tendering, bids, and proposals with technical input. Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities on site. Mentor and support junior engineers. Adapt to deliver additional technical capabilities as required. Skills and Experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (BSc/BEng minimum). Broad understanding of the UK electricity system and stakeholders. Experience in design, specification, and delivery of control systems for power networks. Experience with battery storage systems is desirable. Experience in FAT, SAT, or commissioning advantageous. Consulting experience is desirable. Ability to lead or coordinate project delivery.
