We are working with a defence company that is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team in Hampshire, leading cutting-edge simulation system development across the full engineering life cycle. Permanent role - Hybrid andamp; Flexible Working Available The role Providing hands-on technical leadership to a team of systems and software engineers, supporting the Product System Design Authority Applying Systems Engineering principles to develop software-based Simulation Systems from concept to delivery Designing Simulation Systems equipment, networks, and software solutions Leading requirements decomposition and managing specifications using tools such as IBM DOORS Next Directing architectural modelling and defining interfaces using CATIA Magic (Cameo) Driving system integration activities and acceptance strategies for software-based systems Leading technical reviews and ensuring compliance with customer, legislative, and business requirements Skills required: Strong experience applying Systems Engineering principles to software-based products Expertise in Systems Engineering and Software Integration life cycle principles (ISO 15288 andamp; 12207) Background in requirements management Familiarity with engineering life cycle models (Waterfall andamp; Agile) and tools such as JIRA Solid background in software development and system integration Software/Simulation Proven technical leadership capability, able to guide cross-discipline teams
