What You’ll Do

Responsible for the effective and efficient application for people management process and policies.

Act as an expert advisor to operational area, providing guidance and support to Departmental Manager and Operational Managers.

Accountable for tracking, reporting and monitoring all people metrics within area of responsibility.

Identify trends and make recommendations to improve performance.

Provide a holistic view of people performance with a detailed understanding of area of responsibility.

Adopt best practice for managing people.

Deputise for the Operations Performance Manager and cover for time in supporting other operational areas.

Line or matrix management of team administrators supporting designated operational area.

Skills

High level of self-organisation, motivation and management independence.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Able to build and develop effective working relationships across all levels.

Able to create a ‘one team’ approach across own team and peer group, sharing best practice and establishing shared goals.

Good analytical and decision-making skills.

Resilient under pressure with a firm empathetic style.

Able to challenge and provide expert guidance.

Essential Experience

Experience of working within a fast-moving, people-intensive operational environment.

Relevant experience in managing people issues including working with Trade Union representatives.

Desirable Experience

Airline Operations experience

Cargo experience

Applicant must also hold or be able to hold an airside pass.
