The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Computer Science and ICT across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' understanding of programming, computational thinking, cyber security, data representation, networks, and digital technologies. You will support pupils in building both theoretical knowledge and practical ICT skills while preparing them for success in their GCSE qualifications.
As part of a supportive department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop confidence and independence in using technology. You will maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour while contributing to the wider success of the faculty.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification; ECTs are welcome to apply
• Have experience teaching Computer Science and/or ICT at secondary level
• Be confident delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Have knowledge of current Computer Science and digital technology curricula
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Be committed to supporting student achievement and progress
• Have a passion for technology and inspiring the next generation of digital learners
