Senior Nurse Specialist - CYP Eating Disorders Service

Overview
Welcome to CNWL Community Eating Disorders Service for Children and Young People. This role provides senior nurse leadership, line management and supervision to allocated members of the CYP nursing team. The post also contributes to wider nursing initiatives within the All-Age Eating Disorders Service and the CAMHS Eating Disorders Service line where appropriate.Main duties and responsibilities
Provide senior nurse leadership, line management and supervision to allocated members of the CYP nursing team.Contribute to the wider nursing initiatives within the All-Age Eating Disorders Service and the CAMHS Eating Disorders Service line as appropriate.Deliver evidence-based interventions for the patient group, including Family Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (FT-AN) and Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders.Offer systemic therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E) where an individual therapy approach is more appropriate.Provide or support a parent group to help those caring for a young person with an eating disorder.Collaborate with CNWL CAMHS for joint work on co-morbidities and with other agencies as necessary.About the service
The team includes nursing, psychology, assistant psychologists, systemic psychotherapists, a dietician, occupational therapists, a paediatrician and psychiatry.Service leads include a Clinical Team Lead, Consultant Psychiatrist, Lead Psychologist, Lead Family Therapist, and the All-Age Eating Disorder service overseen by the Head of ED and the Clinical Director for ED.Recent developments include improved transition work, development of an Intensive Community Treatment Team, and new projects with Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.Locations
Our main base is in Chelsea, next to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Local NHS discounts are available at many cafes, restaurants and bars for NHS staff (10-20%).Our second site is Roxborough Road, near Harrow-on-the-Hill tube station. Clinicians typically work there once or twice per week, with flexibility to increase as preferred.Next steps
