My client is a leading manufacturer of resins and polymers to a range of industries globally. They are now looking for a Production Operator to join their Weekday, Night team. The ideal candidate will come from a Chemical manufacturing background, be familiar with sampling and product testing, will have an understanding of Chemical processes and will be based locally to Wigan. This position is exclusively night shift, please only apply if you are happy to work 6pm - 6am, Monday to Thursday. Production Operator - Position Overview Ensuring all batch process and operational activities are carried out in compliance with HSEQ requirementsManufacturing products according to formulation batch sheets and specificationsMaking accurate additions or adjustments to processesResponding to required corrective and preventative action in a timely mannerMonitoring of raw materials requirements and informing supervisors when finished products are suitably packagedParticipating in Design / Hazard reviews Production Operator - Position Requirements Previous experience working in a Chemical Process roleAny previous experience on a COMAH site advantageousAn understanding of Chemical processesAn understanding of sampling and product testingExperienced in troubleshooting production equipment and processExperience operating Forklift TrucksNVQ Level 2 in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering desirableIOSH desirableValid Forklift licence (Reach or Counterbalance)Based within a commutable distance of Wigan
