Head Chef
to support the next phase of our culinary evolution.The Role
As
Head Chef , you will work closely with the Executive Chef to lead a passionate and skilled kitchen brigade. This is a key leadership position, responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining the highest culinary standards, and contributing to the strategic direction of the food offering at Lavo.Key responsibilities include:
Support the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen, deputising for the Executive Chef in his absence.Lead and develop the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality service.Contribute to creative menu development with a focus on seasonal Italian cuisine.Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and health and safety regulations.Manage stock levels, supplier relationships and cost controls.Provide ongoing training and mentoring for the kitchen team, including back of house.Work in close partnership with front-of-house to ensure seamless guest experiences.About You

Proven experience in a senior kitchen role, ideally within Italian or Mediterranean cuisine.Inspirational leadership and team-building skills with collaborative mindseA passion for high-quality, seasonal ingredients and precise executExcellent organisational and time management abilities.Solid understanding of kitchen financials, cost control and supplier management.Strong knowledge of food safety, allergen protocols and HACCP compliance.Cool under pressure, solutions-focused and committed to continuous improvement.What we offer
