The business operates modern production facilities and supplies into a range of industrial sectors.As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and production machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAssemble, install, and align mechanical components and machineryCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production equipmentRead and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematicsReplace bearings, seals, gearboxes, motors, and other mechanical componentsSupport continuous improvement and reliability initiativesEnsure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulationsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationThe ideal CandidateProven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within a manufacturing or industrial environmentA recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds or equivalent)Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExperience working with pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics (desirable)The ability to read technical drawingsA proactive and safety-conscious approachStrong teamwork and communicatio
