We have an exciting opportunity for dynamic, forward thinking Registered nurse to join the Pre-Admission Discharge Lounge Team at NHS Golden Jubilee Hospital.This will include liaising with the wards and external agencies to ensure social care packages are in place prior to discharge.Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this role. The successful candidate will be carrying out simple discharge referrals to external agencies such as Community nurses and Social Services and contributing to the wider discharge service. It is essential that the successful candidate can work autonomously over the shifts worked and that they are able to interact with patients and relatives in a calm and reassuring manner.The post holder should possess a caring and compassionate demeanor towards patients and staff, good communication skills, and display a “Can Do” attitude. The post holder must be able to priorities conflicting demands to deliver patient and service needs.We are looking for a Registered Adult Nurse with a First Level nursing degree (or equivalent).
