User Services & Administration Manager
OverviewThe User Services and Administration team provide support to staff and post-graduate students in many areas including user account administration, shared folders and mailboxes, print services, software support and some specialist activities. The role involves taking part in these duties, leading the team with these activities, and delivering a good mix of support and projects. You will cover a wide range of tasks and interact with a wide range of people. You may take the lead in many technical projects and challenges relating to the User Services and Administration area, including liaising with various teams both internal and external to IT Services. You will be required to manage the workload of the team as well as your own and to perform line management duties. The team will also be on the rota for the front line helpdesk alongside colleagues from our other support teams.
Responsibilities
Lead and participate in duties related to user services and administration, including user account administration, shared folders and mailboxes, print services, software support and related specialist activities.
Provide a mix of support and project work; cover a wide range of tasks and engage with a variety of stakeholders.
Take the lead in technical projects and challenges within the User Services and Administration area; liaise with internal and external teams.
Manage the workload of the team and perform line management duties.
Be part of the front line helpdesk rota alongside colleagues from other support teams.
Qualifications and Skills
Some line management or supervisor experience.
Background in supporting users with IT issues and requests.
Technically minded with a customer and service-focused approach.
DetailsThe post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.

The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,728 - £51,872 per annum pro-rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary "Wellbeing Days". Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
