Senior Practitioner - Assessment Team (Permanent Role)Location: Plough LaneSalary: 38,223 - 42,403 plus a market supplement of 5,000 per year ( 43,223 - 47,403 total)Join our Assessment Team and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people in Herefordshire. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner to play a crucial role in supporting children and families, leading practice development, and mentoring less experienced staff.The Role:As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for completing holistic, child-centred assessments and working closely with families and professionals to develop SMART outcome-focused plans. You will also play a vital role in supporting the professional development of your team and ensuring high-quality service delivery.Key Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of complex cases.Provide case reflection and practice management to ensure compliance with policies and standards.Mentor and support apprentices, students, and junior staff.Lead on practice development and training within the service.Attend court as required and liaise with legal services.Foster strong relationships with families, partner agencies, and legal services.Promote a culture of high-quality social work practice and continuous professional development.Ensure that children and families'' voices are heard and integrated into assessments and plans.About You:Essential Requirements:Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) with SWE registration.Experience in assessing
