HGV Mechanic

You will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing and maintaining our fleet of commercial, heavy goods and specialist municipal vehicles. Responsibilities: Inspect, service, repair, maintain and diagnose faults on a full range of vehicles. Accurate fault diagnosis of vehicle and specialist equipment defects. The correct use and care of specialist tools provided for repair and maintenance purposes. Carry out all work in accordance with specified repair policy. Reporting of defects revealed or observed during any repair process. Completion of all job-related documentation required including using and inputting data to computer systems. Requirements: Experience of supporting service and repair work on commercial vehicles. Minimum 3 year continuous period in an approved apprenticeship or training programme. Two years continuous experience within a commercial repair/service environment. Knowledge of City and Guilds 4101 Light Vehicle maintenance and repair or equivalent. Hours and Pay: Monday to Thursday: 7:15am to 15.45pm. Fridays: 07:15am to 12.15pm. 42, 328 P/A
