An established Chemical manufacturing site is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability and safe operation of plant and facilities. Role Overview You will be responsible for maintaining production and site equipment through a mix of preventative and breakdown maintenance. The role requires a hands-on engineer with both mechanical and electrical capability. Key Engineer Duties Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across plant and utilities Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults Carry out electrical tasks including panel work, wiring, and fault tracing Operate safely in ATEX and hazardous areas, following site procedures Complete risk assessments, permits, and maintenance records Coordinate with production teams and external contractors Support equipment improvement and reliability activities Essential Experience and Skills Proven experience in a mechanical and electrical maintenance role Background in ATEX, chemical, or high-risk manufacturing environments Electrical competence including wiring and troubleshooting Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements Confident using general engineering tools and equipment Basic IT literacy for maintenance systems Desirable Experience Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or process industries Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics Familiarity with AutoCAD Package and Benefits Salary up to 50,000 25 days an
