£55,000Purpose:The Senior Analyst will have a range of responsibilities focusing on the technical delivery of projects in markets CBTA operates in, predominantly the UK. The CBTA team’s mandate is to support clients and beneficiaries in emerging markets to develop and grow the sustainable debt market, whether through issuing labelled bonds or banking instruments. Activities include issuing thematic debt, which involves framework review and portfolio assessment to identify green/sustainable projects, assets, or activities using international or local taxonomies. CBTA also conducts market assessments to understand the ecosystem for issuers and domestic investors/financiers, providing guidance on investment decisions in sustainable assets and activities.Duties and responsibilities:Lead or support the delivery of technical assistance deliverables, requiring a good understanding of taxonomies, international standards, or sector criteria for green and transition activities.Conduct market research and develop reports that overview the sustainable market, including development trends, relevant regulations, and financing innovations in sectors.Coordinate with CBI’s headquarters, including Standards and Certification teams, to ensure correct application of CBI standards and taxonomies to deliverables.Engage with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure proper application of regional and local taxonomies.Assist Programmes Officer with budget management and administrative tasks.Support the delivery of trainings and presentations related to Technical Assistance, if needed.Essential:Master’s degree in finance, engineering, business, economics, or related fields.Excellent communication skills (writing and speaking) in English and ideally in another language.Ability to execute tasks with good judgment.Creative, organized, with strong attention to detail.Collaborative and efficient in team settings.At least 5 years of experience in investing, financing, policy design, or taxonomy design.Knowledge of finance, capital markets, and bond issuances.Ability to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving initiatives.Self-motivated and adaptable.Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Willingness and ability to travel for work.Desirable:Experience in issuing bonds.Previous experience in Technical Assistance and/or project management.Additional Benefits:Opportunity to work with a global team on impactful projects.Collaborate with Thought Leaders and grow your career.Encourages creativity and innovation.NGO competitive salary.Remote and flexible working arrangements.Family-friendly and inclusive environment.25+ days holiday.
