The Legal counsel position will hold the following responsibilities:Be responsible for the development of several projectsManage projects from pre-application through to completionAdvising on acquisitions, consenting and engagement strategies, environmental impact assessments habitats regulations and DCO implementationWork with the wider project team for the submission of Development Consent OrdersRespond to requests under the Freedom of Information ActProvide comprehensive legal advice to internal stakeholders on a variety of mattersWork with the team to manage and mitigate risksEnsure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policiesSupport projects and transactions by providing timely and accurate legal inputMaintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developmentsThe Successful Applicant
A successful Legal Counsel should have:Qualified solicitor status or equivalent legal qualification3 years+ of relevant post qualification experiencePrior experience and understanding of Development Consent Orders is essentialA strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the industryExcellent problem-solving skills with a practical and solutions-focused approachOutstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyStrong communication skills to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levelsWhat\''s on Offer
This is a Fixed Term role for 2 years. Hybrid/remote working is available. A competitive salary along with an extended benefits package including bonus, pension scheme, healthcare etc.
