Your new role As a Mechanical Fitter, you''ll be responsible for the assembly, fitting, and integration of mechanical components and systems. Working from detailed engineering drawings and build instructions, you''ll ensure all work is completed to exacting standards. You''ll play a key role in the production process, supporting the delivery of complex mechanical builds used in high-performance applications.Key responsibilities include:Mechanical fitting and assembly of components and sub-systemsWorking to engineering drawings and specificationsPrecision alignment, torqueing, and testing of mechanical systemsSupporting fault-finding and rectificationMaintaining high standards of safety, quality, and cleanlinessWhat you''ll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you''ll need:A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds, or equivalent)Hands-on experience in mechanical fitting within a manufacturing or engineering settingStrong understanding of technical drawings and mechanical build processesGood manual dexterity and attention to detailAbility to work independently
