Job Purpose:Providing expertise to parents, grandparents, other family members, interveners and children directly or through their CAFCASS appointed Children’s GuardianEnsuring the Child Care team provides a quality, first class servicePreparing for court such as court bundles and instructing counselKey Responsibilities:Managing your own casework, liaising with clients, providing advice over the phone, by email and other mediumsPreparing and drafting documents including witness statements and processing evidenceManaging a varied general Child Care caseloadAttending conferences and undertaking own advocacy at courtBusiness development and marketing to support the work volumes brought in by the firmKey Skills and Experience:You will be a Child Care Solicitor with at least 1 + PQEWorking knowledge of best practice within Child CareWorks ethically and sensitively to support vulnerable individuals through Child Care processesStays up to date with the latest relevant legislation, policies and changes in the lawIdeally have experience of supporting junior colleagues within a small teamPackage:26 Days annual leave + Bank HolidaysMedicash Health PlanEncouragement of internal progressionOpportunity to earn a bonusHybrid working – 3 days in the office 2 days working from homeFlexible working
