You’ll have previous experience working in a residential care setting with an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Previous supervisory experience, such as delegating tasks, supporting inductions for new starters, and conducting 1-to-1s, is beneficial but not essential.What is most important is that you are a positive role model, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to get along with others. You should be a supportive individual, able to motivate others to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times. Additionally, you should be confident in taking charge, using your own initiative to resolve problems and handle queries.
