Community Staff Nurse 0-19

OverviewWe are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic staff nurses who would like to work in Barking and Dagenham (BandD) in the East Locality alongside our 0-19 skill mix team (Health Visiting and School Nursing). We currently have two vacancies within the team, one full time (37.5 hours) and one 4 days per week (30 hours).

Role and responsibilities
Work within the Integrated Universal and Early Intervention 0-19 team (Health Visiting and School Nursing) in Barking and Dagenham.
Participate in the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) delivery in collaboration with SCPHN across the 0-19 pathway.
Identify health needs with children and families and plan, deliver and review appropriate and evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes.
Work in a variety of environments including the family home, clinics, schools and Family Hubs.
Engage with long-term multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams to support children, young people and families.
Contribute to health screening, health promotion activities and parenting support as part of the role.
Qualifications and requirements
Registered nurse with appropriate qualifications and current practice ready for community/public health work.
Good clinical skills and a strong understanding of policies relating to children.
Motivational skills and ability to work effectively within a skill mix team.
Willingness to participate in a comprehensive induction and ongoing training, including mandatory training and systems training.
Ability to engage with diverse client groups and work in multi-disciplinary settings.
Induction and probation
New starters join the Trust on the first Monday of each month for a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training and equipment allocation. Induction held at the Trust head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt unless currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff.
Compensation and benefits
High Cost Area Supplement – London: 15% of basic salary with a minimum of £4,714 and a maximum of £5,941 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
