Their students have a diverse range of learning needs, including Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). Many also experience communication, interaction, sensory, or physical challenges, such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, or sensory impairments.The RoleThe school are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is suitable for both part-time and full-time applicants, but you must be available to work between 8:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.This is an excellent opportunity for those with mainstream school experience who are looking to transition into a SEND setting. Some pupils present with complex behaviours associated with their additional needs, so patience, resilience, and a positive approach are essential.Key DutiesSupport pupils with MLD/SLD/ASD/PMLD in class, one-to-one, and in small groups as a Teaching Assistant. Assist with tailored learning programmes and daily routines. Support behaviour management while promoting independence and confidence.
