Anzuk are delighted to be seeking a friendly and passionate Teaching Assistant with a QTS to join one of our wonderful Early Years and KS1 teams in the Colliers Wood area.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children, thrives on new challenges and wants to use their teaching experience to support and inspire young learners. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll have the chance to focus on building strong relationships and helping students flourish, all while enjoying the flexibility and balance that comes with stepping back from full-time teaching responsibilities.
The Teaching Assistant Role:
- Provide academic and social support to students
- Inspire and clarify instructions, fostering independent learning
- Duties may include general school tasks like preparing resources, arranging learning spaces, and supervising break and lunchtimes
- Some roles may involve providing support to children with special needs, such as Social, Emotional & Mental Health, Autism, and Speech and Language Communication Needs
- Collaborate with the SENCO and/or Class teacher to monitor and report on children''s progress
- Creative and energetic individuals with a genuine passion for positively influencing a child''s life
- Teaching Assistants with prior experience in classroom settings.
- Ability to employ diverse teaching methods to engage students with varying needs and abilities
- Approachable, personable, and relatable individuals who can connect with students to enhance the learning experience
- Hardworking team players who foster a positive and enriching community for every child
- Strong behaviour management skills, ensuring that learning remains the central focus of every interaction
- Excellent time-management skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Reliability is paramount; students require a consistent presence
