Pertemps are working with our public sector client to recruit for a Facilities Team Leader (soft services) on a temporary basis in Edinburgh.Role - Facilities Team LeaderLocation - Central Edinburgh with travel around the city as requiredHours - 36 hours per week (must be flexible with hours of work)Duration - Until end of November 2025 (with possible extension)Pay rate - 20.03 per hourStart date - asapThe successful candidate will be working as part of an established team and will have their own dedicated area of the city to oversee. You will be looking after a variety of operational buildings, including schools, community centres and offices. You will be carrying out, but not be limited to:Leading and managing the delivery of the service provisionOrganising, planning and delivering services to meet with agreed service levelsEnsure compliance with statutory requirements, legislation and proceduresBeing proactive in your approach whilst looking to provide continuous improvementManagement and coordination of sub-contractorsManaging staffAttending meetingsReporting on the work being undertaken in your areaLiaising with colleagues, internal and external stakeholdersReviewing the asset register, ensuring it is kept up to dateEscalating any issues as necessaryAny other tasks as requiredYou should have a proven track record in a similar role, have excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally, have strong IT skills and be flexible in your approach.
