This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of service charge processes, working across multiple tenures and engaging with both internal teams and residents to ensure compliant charging structures.Service Charge Accountant - Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare accurate service charge budgets, estimates and year-end actuals, ensuring full legislative and lease complianceReview and refine service charge apportionments to ensure equitable and fully recoverable cost allocation across estates and tenuresScrutinise managing agent accounts, invoices and statements to ensure accuracy and correct recharge to customersInvestigate service charge variances, providing clear reporting and insight to support decision-makingProduce audit files and liaise with external auditors, supporting year-end processes and regulatory compliancePartner with housing, asset management and finance teams to capture all rechargeable costs and maximise income recoverySupport resident consultations, Section 20 processes and dispute resolution for service charge queriesSkills and abilities:Part or fully qualified accountant (AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)Previous Service Charge Accountant experienceProven experience calculating and managing service charges within a housing association environm
