Kingston GP Chambers (the GP Federation) is supporting Fairhill Medical Practice in Kingston Upon Thames who are seeking an experienced Salaried GP to join its caring and supportive team. We require 4 clinical sessions a week ,

days to be decided, with a start date in December 2025.Fairhill are a 3 Partner University Practice based across three sites in the leafy suburb of Kingston Upon Thames. Kingston GP Chambers is a Federation of all NHS General Practices within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. It was founded in 2008 as a limited company whose shareholders are all 20 GP Practices within Kingston. The company is led by a Board of Directors who are also GP Partners in their own Practices within Kingston.Kingston GP Chambers has worked collaboratively with both secondary care and the private sector. At present we provide community clinics for Dermatology, Urology, Neurology, Dementia and Diabetes.In addition, Kingston GP Chambers are at the forefront of improving patient access to primary care. We deliver a comprehensive extended hours service offering GP appointments across three hubs in the evenings Monday to Friday, over the weekend and on Bank Holidays.Kingston GP Chambers has the ability to respond rapidly, and we have continued to demonstrate the capability to provide high-quality, innovative and timely solutions to improving patient care and experience.We work closely alongside the other GP Federations in Southwest London to continue the government''s five-year forward plan and deliver patient services in the community. We aim to continue to grow as we are increasingly recognised as the provider of choice for extended, enhanced and urgent GP services.We also expect an increasing role as we support, reinforce and develop the position of general practice as the core building block for an increasing range of jointly-provided services.Job responsibilities

The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.Clinical Responsibilities:In accordance with the Practice rota the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashionMaking professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisationAssessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problemsScreening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illnessIn consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for healthProviding counselling and health educationAdmitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriateRecording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standardsEngaging with and complying with the collection of data for QOF and enhanced services in consultationsCompiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)Prescribing in accordance with the locality prescribing formulary whenever this is clinically appropriateIn general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary carePerson Specification

Experience

Completion of a Vocational GP Training schemeCertificate in post graduate clinical trainingQualifications

Full GMC Registration with a license to practice and entry on the GPRegister Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice /Certificate Confirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR), or equivalent Included on a Medical Performers List or eligible.Evidence of continuous professional developmentAcademic excellence (prizes, merits, distinctions etc.) MRCGP Diplomas relevant to primary careDisclosure and Barring Service Check
