Your Role at a Glance:
As an English Teacher, youandrsquo;ll play a key role in shaping confident communicators and thoughtful readers. Youandrsquo;ll deliver inspiring lessons that bring literature and language to life, foster independent thought, and help students excel in their GCSEs and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  Plan and teach creative, challenging lessons in line with the national English curriculum

  Foster a classroom environment where discussion, debate, and critical thinking thrive

• 
  

  Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs

• 
  

  Support literacy development across the curriculum

• 
  

  Contribute to departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and whole-school initiatives

Youandrsquo;ll need:

• 
  

  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• 
  

  Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)

• 
  

  Strong subject knowledge and a love for English language and literature

• 
  

  Excellent communication and classroom management skills

•
