We are partnering with a leading automated distribution centre in Rotherham to recruit a Continuous Improvement and Project Manager who will play a critical role in optimising performance, delivering strategic projects, and driving efficiency across a fast-paced, technology-led operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong warehouse systems knowledge, particularly within Manhattan WMS, who thrives in a complex, automated supply chain environment.
The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will lead site-wide improvement initiatives and manage key operational projects that enhance productivity, service, and cost performance.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading continuous improvement programmes across warehouse operations
- Identifying and eliminating process inefficiencies using Lean methodologies
- Managing end-to-end operational projects from concept through implementation
- Driving performance improvements across automation systems and workflows
- Acting as the site subject matter expert for Manhattan WMS
- Working cross-functionally with operations, IT, engineering and third-party providers
- Analysing data to identify trends, root causes and improvement opportunities
- Supporting change management and embedding best practice across the site
- Delivering measurable gains in productivity, accuracy and customer service
We are looking for a hands-on improvement leader who can combine operational understanding with technical capability.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience at a Continuous Improvement and Project manager level
- Background within an automated logistics distribution and supply chain environment
- Strong knowledge of Manhattan Warehouse Management Systems
- Experience implementing Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment
- Confidence influencing at all levels of the business
Desirable
- Lean Six Sigma qualification
- Prince2 / PMP or equivalent project qualification
- Exposure to warehouse automation technologies such as conveyors, ASRS, sortation or robotics
