Education and Event Executive

Directorate: Marketing, Education, Events and MembershipReports to: Events and Education ManagerSalary range: £ 26,521 - £33,456per annum, depending on experienceLocation: London – EC4Y 8EE (Hybrid - The Education team is office-based on an agreed day once a week, then a required one day each month for all staff)Contract: Permanent, full-time (31.5 hours over 5 days)Job PurposeBSR education programme is a key benefit to members and the wider rheumatology community, providing updates on the essentials needed to deliver top-quality care for patients and ensuring professional development opportunities.This role sits within the Education team who are responsible fordeliveringBSR’seducationalactivity. Working alongsidethe Head of Education, the Events and Education Manager, Event Executive and the Digital Events Manager, you willassistin the planning and delivery of a range of education courses, webinars,bursary schemes anddigital learningactivities. You will work with the team to support the work of ourEducationCommittee, Trainee Committee andDigital Learning Board.This is an exciting role for someone looking to get more hands-on experience in planning and executing a variety of educational events and activities and liaising with multiple stakeholders. It is a unique opportunity to be part of the team at the forefront of rheumatology education, making a tangible impact on the professional development of members and the broader rheumatology community.Main responsibilitiesEvent and Course ManagementLead on course and webinar registration processes, including delegate bookings, communications, data management and reporting, and producing delegate materials.Support course logistics including venue sourcing and management, accommodation and travel, catering and AV.Support stakeholder management at education courses, including communications with patients, sponsors and event supporters.Occasional travel, including attendance and overnight stays at BSR conferences, courses and events.Systems and Data ManagementOversee the team’s CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and registration systems, ensuring data integrity, implementing system enhancements, coordinating stakeholders, and carrying out testing.Project CoordinationCoordinate the rheumatology training webinar series, including topic development, speaker management and live delivery.Coordinate the education bursary programme, including promotion, application management and financial reconciliation.Coordinate CPD accreditation of educational activities.Support the delivery of digital sponsorship and educational partnership opportunities.Marketing and CommunicationsWork with the Marketing and Communications team to create digital content to engage target audiences.General DutiesManage events inbox and education team enquiries, delivering excellent customer service.Input into education budgets by monitoring progress against income and expenditure for owned projects.Support with BSR Committee liaison and logistics.Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Education and the Events and Education Manager.Person SpecificationBe enthusiastic about all aspects of education, self-motivated, and eager to contribute to educational initiativesCan work efficiently on a variety of digital systems and quick to pick up new programsHave the confidence to manage stakeholders at all levels and to deal with externalcontactsHave confident time and project management skills, you’ll be working on a lot of projects simultaneouslyDemonstrate ability to use initiative and innovation to make positive improvements or efficienciesto how we deliver educationCan be professional and personable when communicating with customers and volunteersEquity, Inclusion and Diversity statementBSR is committed to encouraging inclusion, equity, and diversity in our workforce.
