Trade Support Commodities (Physical Team)

Balyasny is looking for an experienced Commodities Trade Support professional to support Physical Gas and Power trading in Europe. The commodity business unit is one of the newest and fastest growing profit centers at BAM, rapidly onboarding new markets and staff around the globe to grow financial and physical trading capabilities. You will be joining a global team of experienced energy professionals who you will be collaborating with daily.Responsibilities

Assist in the daily operations related to EU GandP, ensuring timely and accurate trade capture and validation.Support the scheduling team with data management, including tracking of nominations, actual flows, and imbalances.Monitor European GandP market conditions, including network operations, maintenance schedules, and capacity constraints.Booking structured trades and testing new requirements such as Gas Storage and Transportation contracts.Liaise with internal teams, such as trading, valuations, finance and compliance, to provide operational support.Collaborate with external parties, including TSOs, shippers, and regulatory bodies, to resolve operational issues.Contribute to the development and implementation of operational procedures and best practices with avoidance of financial loss and operational mistakes in mind.Provide support for the resolution of transport and balancing issues, including invoice verification and dispute resolution.Analyze and reconcile invoices and resolve any discrepancies with counterparties or service providers.Participate in the development of contingency plans for operational emergencies.Participate in setting up of new markets, testing products and processes helping to identify the risks accordingly.The list is not exhaustive and could include other tasks.Qualifications

At least 2 years’ experience within Continental GandP markets.Physical Trading Support; ez Ops, Endur and EPEX/Nordpool admin experience preferredDegree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering and other STEM majors preferred.Fluency in EnglishTeam player with high level of attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and communication skills.Strong quantitative and analytical skills.Job details
