Situated in St Johns Wood, we pride ourselves in offering a real home from home for business and leisure travelers alike.About the roleWe are looking for a friendly, experienced and enthusiastic hotel Reception Shift Leader/Duty Manager to join our Front Office team. You must be natural leader and have thorough knowledge of the Opera system supporting our receptionists in running an efficient reception area, managing bookings, and ensuring a pleasant and warm experience for our guests.ResponsibilitiesEnsure that all guests receive a warm welcome, and therefore a first impression which illustrates a professional and friendly manner while being always polite and courteousCo-operate with team members, including those from other departments to maximize the use of the hotel facilitiesMonitor any overbooking situation and that the correct decision is made, and then if a book out is necessary to ensure the correct procedure is followedImplement good reservation handling incorporating maximizing our occupancy and availability through upselling to increase Room sales and obtain best possible ratesOverseeing the daily operations of the Front Office and maintaining it to the highest standardsThrough effective supervision ensure that all services offered in the reception are always available and are carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy as per the guidelines establishedEnsure the smooth and efficient operation and coordination of the reception team, leading by example and being the first point of contact for any issues in the hotel during Duty Manager shiftsShifts are based on 5 of 7 days and include early morning, late evenings, and weekends on a rota basisSalary and benefitsPermanent full-time position (37.5 hours per week)Salary £29,907.42 per annum (£15.34 per hour)Duty Manager shift uplift per hourMeals on DutyPension scheme with enhanced 6% Employer contributionsUniform laundry serviceDiscount travel program in Danubius hotels including Friends and Family discountIncentive program for upsellingCandidate requirementsEssential

:Exceptional leadership and management skillsExcellent communication skills with good written and spoken EnglishExperience using Opera system.Experience of at least 1 year in a similar role within a hotel environmentDesirable
