Supply Chain Manager - Crewe (Hybrid) - Up to £60,000The SituationOne of the leading providers of rail/rolling stock maintenance services is looking to expand their Supply Chain capabilities by hiring a Supply Chain Manager to oversee activities across the business on an operational level. The SCM will be responsible for managing the procurement (direct/indirect), contracts and inventory/stores function. Managing a team of 4, with 3 indirect reports across various UK sites, the SCM will provide act as a technical escalation to supply chain queries and the lead the team, supporting and overseeing the Bill of Materials across all light and heavy Maintenance contracts.The role will be well varied, with a balance of team leadership and development alongside process management/oversight and sign off. This is a key role for the business and will allow the Head of Supply Chain to have a more strategic focus moving forward.The Opportunity This is an exciting challenge for an established Procurement and Supply Chain professional; sitting between engineering, business operations and supply chain, this person will play a key role in the successful and timely delivery of projects, directly impacting if trains will return to service on time.
