Owen Daniels are supporting a leading automotive manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their established quality team.This role will suit a quality professional with strong customer-facing experience and a proven background managing quality activities from new product introduction through to series production. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting customers, driving quality improvements and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead customer quality activities and act as the main point of contact for quality-related issues.Support APQP activities throughout the product lifecycle.Prepare and submit PPAP documentation in line with customer requirements.Investigate quality concerns using structured problem-solving techniques and implement corrective actions.Conduct internal and external quality audits.Review engineering drawings and specifications, applying strong GDandT knowledge.Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to improve product and process quality.Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.The Candidate:Experience in a Quality Engineer position within automotive manufacturing.Strong front-end/customer quality experience.Good working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Core Tools.Strong understanding of GDandT and interpretation of engineering drawings.Experience of 8D, Root Cause Analysis and corrective action processes.Knowledge of IATF 1
