As part of ongoing growth within their Engineering Centre of Excellence, they re seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their assembly team working on complex, high-performance armoured vehicle projects. About the Role The primary focus of this role is to support the final assembly process of armoured wheeled vehicles and sub-assemblies, working in accordance with strict engineering, safety, and quality standards. The role is based on day shifts, though some flexibility may be required depending on project demands. Key Responsibilities: Carry out final assembly, installation, and inspection of heavy vehicle systems and components. Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults. Interpret engineering drawings and standard operating procedures. Use diagnostic software for system setup, testing, and fault-finding. Order parts and materials as required to complete work to specification. Complete documentation and attest work through the company MRP system (SAP). Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support other departments when needed. Ensure full compliance with company Health and Safety and quality standards.
