Manager, Privacy Compliance and Assurance

We are currently seeking a
Senior Manager, Privacy Compliance and Assurance
to oversee a privacy compliance function and execute global privacy compliance projects. This role includes collaborating with key stakeholders, interpreting legal requirements, and supporting a diverse team to seamlessly integrate robust privacy practices into business operations.Lead and manage a Hyderabad-based compliance team that assesses adherence to privacy regulations to reduce regulatory risk.Execute global privacy compliance projects and initiatives in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, providing regular updates to key stakeholders.Work with senior stakeholders to proactively assess risk of new projects against existing compliance initiatives and recommend prioritization.Interpret privacy legal requirements and provide targeted guidance to internal teams and external partners to maintain compliance.Develop and roll out actionable privacy guidance for remediations to reduce privacy and regulatory risk, enabling stakeholders to make necessary updates.Design and implement compliance test scripts and plans.Track and report on compliance using a unified set of metrics to evaluate effectiveness.Maintain compliance of digital tracking technologies across the company''s digital properties, including SDKs, pixels, and cookies.Report on data use in a centralized database within WBD and its vendors.Privacy Assurance
Enhance and sustain the WBD Privacy Governance Framework, including policies, standards, and guidelines.Support internal audit processes and teams.Improve data inventory, tagging, flows, and mapping across the enterprise.Manage the library of standards and guidance for privacy in partnership with Legal, Data Governance, and Brand Support functions.Generate data extracts to support Records of Processing Activity (ROPA).Review and update privacy compliance procedures regularly.Drive harmonization of processes globally.Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with privacy professionals, lawyers, and product/technology stakeholders on governance and compliance initiatives.Work with key stakeholders on enhancements to the enterprise control framework.Partner with Data Governance, Privacy, Legal, Security, and Technology teams.Team Management
Oversee 2+ direct reports, training and supporting the privacy compliance team.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent work experience.5+ years in privacy-related roles.3+ years in people management.Knowledge of privacy frameworks and regulations (GDPR, CPRA, etc.).Experience manipulating large data sets and creating data maps.Driving compliance with data privacy standards and policies.Exceptional organizational and project management skills.In-depth knowledge of digital tracking technologies.Proficiency in MS Office.Please note:
This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence 3 days per week.Preferred Experience
Knowledge of media, entertainment, and tech industries.Certifications like CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISM, CDPSE.Experience with Data Catalog Tools or Privacy Platforms (e.g., Collibra, OneTrust).Experience reporting on large datastores (e.g., Snowflake).Familiarity with streaming products/services.Experience working across multiple time zones.We offer a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-office work, subject to company policy and agreement with your Line Manager.At WBD, behind our iconic content and brands are storytellers, creators, and dreamers.
