Purchase/Sales Ledger Supervisor
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established business in West Lothian as Purchase/Sales Ledger Supervisor. This is a varied position combining financial oversight with operational team support.Reporting to the Finance Director, you''ll support a small team and take ownership of the company''s ledgers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all day-to-day finance activities.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and develop a small team of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger staffManage sales and purchase ledgers, including invoice processing and resolving discrepanciesProduce daily sales and margin reports, highlighting variances for senior managementConduct reconciliations on client and supplier accountsLead the month-end process and prepare financial reports as requiredMaintain compliance with procurement policy and oversee the purchase order systemHold regular team meetings and one-to-ones to support departmental objectivesAbout YouProven experience in a fast-paced, high volume transactional environmentStrong accounting knowledge and experience working within sales and purchase ledgerPrecious experience of supporting/supervising and/or managing a small teamExcellent attention to detail and accuracyConfident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and financial systemsOrganised, proactive, and able to manage priorities to meet deadlinesAble to lead by example with the ability to motivate and support a teamIf you''re a hands-on finance professional who e
