Cyber Security Engineer - SIEM/XDR/Crowdstrike/AWSManchester - hybrid/office based£50-60k paA successful technology company in Manchester are recruiting a Security Engineer to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls. You will also be responsible for the design and implementation of security solutions to mitigate risks.Your responsibilities will include:Implementation, and management of security systems, including Firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, DLP, endpoint protection, MDM, SIEM, IAM, vulnerability managementResponding to security events and incidentsPerforming regular security audits and risk assessmentsMaintaining security controls, identify risks and propose treatment plansConducting regular vulnerability scans and penetration testsEnsuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks (eg, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST)Essential experience includes:Experience in networking, infrastructure (on-prem and in the cloud), vulnerability and incident managementFamiliarity with application/device security monitoring (eg Firewalls, IDS/IPS, XDR etc.)Experience with SIEM/CNAPP/Log collection platforms (eg CrowdStrike, Lacework etc.) and capability to design, implement and manage such solutionsExperience with implementation of identity and access management (IAM) solutionsAWS experience and/or AWS security/administration certifications (eg AWS Certified Security etc.)Proficiency with Windows and Linux Servers, and network scan
