Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the transport and logistics departmentManage and support transport planners, drivers, and office staffEnsure efficient fleet utilisation, route planning, and on-time deliveriesMonitor operational performance and implement improvements where requiredMaintain excellent communication with customers to ensure service satisfactionWork closely with the Transport Manager to ensure full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, driver hours, and transport regulationsManage operational costs including fuel usage, fleet efficiency, and staffing levelsHandle operational issues, delays, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environmentDevelop and implement operational processes to improve productivity and service qualityRequirementsProven experience in an Operations Manager or Senior Transport/Logistics role within road haulage or logisticsStrong understanding of transport operations, fleet management, and logistics planningExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong organisational and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesGood IT skills and experience using transport management systemsPlease apply with your updated CV.
