This is a pivotal role within our transport department, ensuring the efficient planning and coordination of container movements across the South, with occasional involvement at London Gateway.Key Responsibilities Plan and allocate daily container haulage work across the company fleet. Proactively forward-plan workloads to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and subcontractors. Manage delays and operational issues in a professional, solution-focused manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using transport management systems and digital tools. Occasionally required to assist with general haulage.Essential Requirements Proven experience in container haulage planning. Strong knowledge of port operations and regional transport routes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient IT skills; experience using TOPS is a strong advantage. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
