Headquartered in Tucson, Arizona, and Woking, England, Clinisys''s mission is to enhance the effectiveness of diagnostic workflows in any laboratory or testing environment and keep communities healthier and safer.The Director, Solution Architecture is responsible for setting the vision and providing technical leadership and guidance to senior and associate team members who design Clinisys''s product solutions. The Director will leverage a deep technical background in software architecture and design to guide the team in establishing stable, highly available solutions that are easily supportable for our clients, and will work closely with product development and client support teams to understand operational and technical challenges and coordinate internal and external solutions.Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and direction for solution architecture and design across Clinisys product solutions; guide team members to establish stable, highly available, and easily supportable solutions for clients.Collaborate with product development and client support to understand operational and technical challenges and coordinate internal and external solutions.For assigned programs, oversee the program and coordinate Clinisys team resources; manage program communications to keep all project teams informed and the project on target.Identify risks, resolve obstacles, and keep critical paths in focus; work with laboratory staff to optimize use of available resources and mitigate time-to-implementation risks.Establish and standardize architectures for the maintenance, monitoring, and support of hosted solutions and internal systems.Facilitate the delivery of solution-focused configuration documents with requirements, reference architectures, and scalability models.Qualify third-party products, engage in vendor management, and provide technology roadmaps including negotiable pricing with vendors.Communicate with customers to manage expectations and timelines; report product experiences and requests; maintain program communications and success; contribute to departmental goals.Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives and contribute to departmental goals; perform other duties as assigned.This is an individual contributor role with strategic and technical leadership responsibilities, but no direct line management.Skills and Experience
Strong leadership skills.Understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection Model (OSI) with knowledge of all layers and how they work together to deliver a solution.Experience delivering solutions that use industry-standard database technologies, operating platforms, and development frameworks.Good technical acumen and critical thinking skills necessary to build and challenge experienced teams.Validated ability to work with diverse stakeholders, handle opposing agendas and priorities, and translate complex information across internal and external audiences.Required Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.7+ years of experience in broad IT experience to include implementation, management and maintenance of IT or software architecture and solutions.Experience in leading high-performing teams.Preferred Experience and Education
