Please note this position is based in London and this will be the contractual location of the successful candidate, other locations cannot be considered.Associate – Structured and Private Debt, Private MarketsThis is a great job for someone with a strong understanding of Financial Markets and Institutional Investors’ investment requirements.A bit about the job:We are seeking a motivated individual to join Aviva Investors as an Associate within the Structured and Private Debt (SandPD) team. This full-time role, based in London, offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and multi-skilled team responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of private debt transactions. The successful candidate will collaborate across multiple countries, business sectors, and departments within Aviva Investors and the wider Aviva Group.Responsibilities

Assist with financial modelling, structuring and execution of private debt opportunities and associated derivatives.Prepare and present investment analysis to internal and external investment committees.Engage with stakeholders such as risk, credit, operations and investors.Research new asset classes and conduct risk/return and feasibility analysis to support investment recommendations.Skills and experience we’re looking for

Strong academic record with a quantitative degreeRelevant capital markets, corporate and public finance experienceExperience of structured or private debt investment productsExperience of using external credit rating agencies rating methodologies and scorecards to rate private transactionsProgressing towards professional qualification (CFA, CAIA or any other industry specific qualification)What you’ll get for this role

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.Aviva is for everyone
